Origin & Production
Distilled at the Dufftown-based Singleton distillery, this 18-year-old single malt hails from Speyside and is aged in a thoughtful combination of American oak and European sherry casks. The extended maturation and gentle distillation capture Dufftown’s signature elegance - fruit-driven with a whisper of oak.
Tasting Notes
A lush nose of orchard fruit - apple, pear - melded with honeysuckle and toasted oak leads into the palate, where toffee, dried apricot, roasted nuts, and soft dark chocolate unfold. It’s medium-to-full bodied with refined spice and a warming, lingering finish touched by oak tannins.
Serving Suggestion
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a tulip glass. A few drops of water enhance the layered fruit; pair with aged gouda or fig-dipped walnuts to underscore its sherried richness.
