Origin & Production
A premium Highland single malt, The Dalmore 18 is initially aged in ex-bourbon casks before finishing in a mix of vintage Matusalem oloroso and Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks. The distillery’s longtime sherry cask expertise (since 1839) grants it layered richness and velvety structure.
Tasting Notes
Rich aromas of dark chocolate, orange marmalade, and roasted coffee precede a succulent palate of dried figs, toffee, and smooth spice. The finish is long and luxurious, leaving cocoa, oak, and citrus zest evolving over time.
Serving Suggestion
Best appreciated neat in a Glencairn glass. A square of high-cacao dark chocolate complements its decadent depth beautifully. A small splash of water can free up its wine-cask nuances.
